This is the best story we've heard all week and realy made us laugh. It seems that that old fart called John McCain used Jackson Browne's song "Running on Empty" without permission. As if that wasn't a crime enough, Browne actually is a stong Obama supporter. Imagine waking up to find out that your song is being used by the Republicans. Browne certainly doesn't seem that Republican type - he's of the hippy era of course. Not to mention way too intelligent and sensitive.

Although to be fair to McCain, he wasn't the only naughty one to use music without permission. Seemingnly Obama used Soul Man and Sam Moore asked for him to stop. We wonder why permission wasn't sought beforehand and also why Moore would object.

That reminds us, we're sure we heard many years ago that the KKK was using Bryan Adams' "Everything I Do" song as part of their campaign. Jeez, it must be pretty difficult to keep tabs of all these organizations who decide to use your songs. Music really does something to the soul and can stir up a whole host of different emotions including pride. No wonder political parties and corporations in general put so much emphasis on it.
